Hi Sony users out there, I am currently still using my all time favourite Sony V1.
It is a convenient piece when I am too lazy to run around with an DSLR.

And now I am thinking of getting a 4GB mark II memory stick.
The store owners are not too sure if the memory is compatible with my camera.
But for trying out, they have to cut the sealed memory stick and i have to commit the purchase.

Anyone experienced the compatibilty of an old camera with a new higher memory media?
Please advice, thank you!

Aaah. Good question. AFAIK the V3 does, but the V1 may still be on FAT16? There's only one way to find out... :)

Hope someone can help to shed some lights here...

Why not meet up with one of the bros and borrow? But AFAIK, 128MB was the max.

Hmm... this case will need to scout for a 4GB memory stick to try then...
I had tried using max. 512Mb before. Its workable...

Well thanks.. the memory stick compatibility chart is very helpful thou comes with a little disappointment. Haha...

I am new to this website, now that I am enlightened on my quiry, do I need to remove this thread so that it will not flood out the forum?

If so , what is my next necessary action to do so?
Thanks again to all kind souls who showed me the way !

Nah, you can keep it open, or lock it. No need to delete it.

Well, ok then.... Thanks! :)
