Right..if we were to "break up" the prices..eg the lens and body. Yea..the 35F2 Zeiss would easily cost up to a 1000+. Meaning the little FF body could only cost.. lets say 1800? Now that we know about it...problem is. Do you think Sony will sell the NEX FF body only at 1800 or even 2000? NO way. And we are pretty sure of it. :bsmilie:

Well..frankly.. at least the lens hood should be included.. since it does retail at such a "premium price" Ok..the pricing is highly debatable i understand. Perhaps im too used to purchasing or think its normal the lens should come with a hood. At least this happen whenever we buy the lenses from Sony. Especially a Zeiss lens? But thats just me. :bsmilie:

Actually Im expecting it to cost more. And if they were the 1 to push it out FIRST (which is very likely) - a compact interchangeable FF. (lets not mention Lecia here)
Sony is daring and will be different :bsmilie:.

hmm if the RX1 and A99 uses the same sensor. Does it mean they will have very similar noise performance and dynamic range?

RX1 can't be too perfect. Otherwise who will upgrade to RX2 next time
Already pre-ordered the RX1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Looking forward to shoot some fast action with the RX5.

Hmm according what ive read so far. All mention its the same sensor. RX1 & A99. Thus im asking that question. Why no PDAF on RX1? i dontknow :bsmilie:

Maybe they realized it doesn't improve the AF performance?
I think it will definitely improve AF performance. Sony's CDAF performance is already about as good as it gets according to the latest reviews, but PDAF will significantly improve object tracking. So far, none of the CDAF cameras are good at sports photography.

Hmmm, add built in hybrid EVF/OVF like Fuji X100, DSLR-like al servo focusing ability, a few more knobs n dials perhaps? And include the lens hood in the box! Not perfect, but closer to heaven
Hmm i do agree with you on the lens hood.. which i also reflected it on my earlier post.
But for the EVF/OVF.. its expected to sell on separately, the usual same pattern as what they did with the nex5n and etc without the EVF.
Add a few more knobs and dial? Maybe you had forgotten the whole idea about the RX1? Is to make it as small as possible. (maybe thats why they didnt want to include the lens hood too? lol..)

An external VF looks like an accident waiting to happen when I am pulling the camera out of the bag etc and spoils the neat form factor. I dont mind a slightly bigger body to have it built-in instead. Or swop the built-in flash with a VF to keep the size down. Not complaining about the RX1, just my wish list for the RX2!

Hopefully it has a low profile and is small enough too. Else it will be a pain. Might as well get the ovf. The thumbs up grip is good to have but I don't see it as a must have
