Sony NEX6 Images

ISO 3200 of the night sky. Shot in JPG and raised the blacks in LR. AF did not work, so i used MF with focus peaking with the 9.6x focus assist to get one of the brightest stars in focus and left it as that. There was a long processing delay after the shutter closed before the image was displayed.

Your sky pic, what focal length was it? Taken straight up? If you took at an angle, the frame would show more stars and maybe a nice foreground... anyway, I'm not trying to pick on ur shot. Really hard to see clear skies in Singapore.

hi it was at about a 45-60 degree angle at 16mm. I didn't really like the foreground haha. Anyway, this photo was taken in a rural part of Philippines.

Thanks for sharing your photos, everyone. I just came back from a trip to Taiwan, here're some shots I have taken:

I'm loving the camera so far. My only gripe is it's a little slow when it powers up.

Glad you like them. 1, 3 and 5 are at Jiufen. 4 is at Shifen. 2 and 6 are at Fengqihu. :)

Btw, forgot to add that all the photos are taken with 16-50mm kit lens.

Mind sharing the setting you used for photo no.4? I've tried taking waterfall but couldn't produce the effect like yours. Still noob. :) thanks.

Probably used an nd filter or polarizing filter (which is like nd2) and a long exposure, or smallest aperture and lowest ISO to try and get at least 1/5s exposure time

Thanks for the guidance! This probably explain why I always get overexposed picture whenever I set the shutter longer then only 2 sec...

Sure. The settings are as follow:

F-Stop: F13
Exposure time: 1/3 Sec
ISO Speed: ISO-100
Focal Length: 16mm

I didn't use any filters. Just keep your shutter speed slow and aperture small, and experiment with a few different settings for them if necessary, to get it to look the way you want. :)
