Sony NEX6 Images

Hi all, here're some photos I have taken using NEX 6, with the 16-50mm kit lens. I'm still a newbie with DSLR, and had only recently upgraded from my 4 year old Lumix LX3. I'm overall quite happy with the camera so far. Now I'm just waiting eagerly for the 35mm F1.8 lens to be available in sg. Hopefully won't have to wait too long.

built it in flash can be manipulated to bounce the flash. hi-iso performance is good in NEX 6 it makes bouncing flash easier.

Sharing some photos of the nifty NEX-6 with 16-50 kit. Picked it up from MSC a day before, after a 2 week wait, and starting using it in Philippines the next day. I am very satisfied with this camera and would like to share some pictures.



Using the Panorama mode. Think this mode covers around 170 degrees FOV.



ISO 3200 of the night sky. Shot in JPG and raised the blacks in LR. AF did not work, so i used MF with focus peaking with the 9.6x focus assist to get one of the brightest stars in focus and left it as that. There was a long processing delay after the shutter closed before the image was displayed.



The 16-50 at its widest.



Just to show the kind of DOF one can get. Used MF with focus peaking. Quite satisfied with the bokeh. The detail of the nose hairs is pretty decent even at 100% crop for me.

Very satisfied with this camera! Good for video work with a merlin steadicam as well.
