Not those delicious sniping shots too but sharing some shots with a new toy - Olympus PEN-F 38mm f1.8. I saw http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52675876 and wanted to gave it a try so I got a cheap one in eBay. Turns out it has a bit of fungus issue.

You can see the vignette at the corners even at f1.8 if uncorrected.


After correcting and cropping a bit, it looks acceptable at close to infinity too. This is f5.6 (I think). Corners are not so good so no cityscaping with this lens.


Took an ex-colleague at f1.8 and corrected.


Another f1.8 and corrected.


With the vignetting, it looks good for B&W. This is f1.8 (quick snap at red light) and corrected.

looks good enough for casual social gatherings! a small fast 35mm is always nice. any images of the lens from the pen on the A7 to see how small it is?

I paid less than US$150 (including adapter). There is fungus in the lens element but doesn't seems to affect the pics much. I can only see the fungus by shining a light through so it's kinda light.

I see some Russian love lately, here's my test shot of another Russian lens Jupiter 12 35mm f2.8 mine was Kiev-contax mount. The lens aperture setup is weird and hard to adjust on the fly.

The lens color rendering and contrast has some film like characteristic which I kinda like. The bad part is like most RF lens it has magenta cast on A7r so can use this for landscape (I lazy to PP and use corner fix etc haha)

Even indoor can already see magenta cast (left side of the frame)but I like its out of focus rendering and sharpness @ f2.8
