soft focus filter

thinking of getting above filter but need some info 1st....

are there different intensities? just like close-up filters have +1, +2, +4, etc...

also, are they available only in the screw-on type? or cokin-type also?

The soft filters come in different strengths (different degrees of softening). For example, the Nikon soft focus filter comes in Soft 1 (weaker) and Soft 2 (stronger). I believe there are Cokin type available, though it might be called a diffuser or Softar or something similiar.

I would prefer the Nikon soft-1 or soft-2 if you're looking at it. Drop by the Nikon council meeting on mondays, I'll be bringing the soft-2 along
