Hey all,

I'm relative new to photography and need some assistance.
I am currently using an SLR camera, is there anyway to get my photos into digital format without scanning? because i feel tat scanning sometimes compromise the qualit of the photo.

Thanks alot and sorry for this newbish post.

Thanks,
Goodness

AFAIK, there isn't any way that you can convert your prints form your SLR to digital format WITHOUT scanning. If your concern is the loss of quality of the scan, get a better flatbed scanner. And I would think that matt photos will come out better that gloss finished photos.

The best quality you can hope for when converting is to use those prefessional drum scanners on the negative...there are several labs in the consumers concer that offer digitising of negatives.

lightbox + replicator stand + macro lens + DSLR

On what? The photos or the negative?

i guess its photos, take pics of neg still hav 2 convert d colors. somemore 35mm neg so small.

If it is negative, can use DSLR with macro lens mount on bellow unit plus slide copy attachment, convert all images to positive, clean up the images, adjust the color, density, contrast etc in photoshop.

If only a couple of images, just send for drum scan.
