How can I re-size a picture of 3.5 ~ 5Mb to 300K with 1024x768?

are you sure your 1024x768 can hit 3.5-5MB in jpg?:think:

Actually what I meant is to size it to 1024x768 with file size of 300k.

U can try search a Photowork , is a great freeware photoshop.. U can have a with/out border n signature. N of course u cn minimise the resolution

If you have PS just save at quality 6 or something. Filesize will drop massively.

My way of doing is as such:
1) Open your PS
2) Go to "Image"->"Image Size"
3) Unclick "Constrain Proportions"
4)Set "Width" to 1024 and "Height" to 768
5)Then "Ok"
6)Then Click "Save for Web" (as what psychobiologist mentioned)
7)Then when the save for web window pops up, you should be able to see the "Quality" on the right. So all you need is to scroll the bar until your image is 300k( or less or more, depending on what file size you prefer).

Sorry, forgot to add, it is best for you to do your PP (like sharpening etc) only after step 5. My views la. ;p
