:dunno: Does there exist a shutterspeed calculation table?
I'm new to SLR photography, owns a Pentax PZ-1P, and is in a quandry as to how long exactly I should keep the shutter open , when photographing night scenes in 'manual bulb mode'. Could someone please help me out?

Doubt there's any table for you to calculate.. One rule that I use is: To gain one stop, either your shutter speed is halved or you increase your apperture by 1.4..... This means if you decrease your apperture by 1.4x, you will need to double your shutter speed to achieve the same exposure(your DOF will change)...

Hope that helps.. Here's a pic I took at 130s f/18(should be quite similar exposure as 30s f/9)
