should i repair my eos50eqd

my eos50eqd film back suddenly pops open last night while shooting eye e city. the catch fall off. a eos50e in b&s is going for $150. should i send mine in for repair? how much you think it will cost? will call canon when holiday over, but eger to know agar agar how much.

Don't know how much it'll cost, but if it costs more than $150, get the one in b&s lor.

A normal spring catch should not cost much. It should be something like $10 if they have parts.

I also encounter tis problem when i own a canon eos 50 previously
Send in for repair n was charge around $20 plus including gst if i didnt remember wrongly
Collect it at around 2hrs plus later after i send in for repair (during weekdays)

thanks seaweed. i really like me eos50e. imo, it beat the 30/33. will send it in for repair since its only about less than $30.
