Clubsnap gets this kind of commentary thread about twice a year. Still if you trace back historically, the demands for such photoshoots are always there.
To me its just another form of photography. Like macro, nature, landscape, lomo, nudes, fashion, pop, or any other category of photography. If there is a demand, there is a supply. What goes on in the minds of the photographer may also contribute to the results of the shoot. So who's to say that an artistic nude photographer is not having the same emotional & physical responds as a dirty old man with a cheap P&S? And who's to judge which of their work appeals more to the general public. And who's to judge a person's morals or motives? Does voting against this kind of shoots seem more "correct"?
I guess its just becoz we are in singapore. Part of our asian heritage pushes us towards a conservative respond but our cosmopilitan country makes some of us more liberal. You don't see this kinds of questions asked in a photography forum overseas as it is an acceptable form of expression. Even in so called "conservative" China, nude photography is very much in demand.
I am a nature photography lover. So if one day, the demands of nature photography becomes overwhelming, would someone start asking if this is a nature forum or a photography forum? :bsmilie:
