Sex sells

Don't really feel the need to ban, but I think a better impression of guys and models can be given. I'm sure not all guys are the GWC type... (Hopefully I'm not being too naive / optimistic :p).

banning is extreme, i agree, but a limit in real numbers is a good outcome. it may be about impression, but i ws thinking more in line with having a more diverse choice in photography term. IMO, model not always = female model wearing little or nothing. its just here in CS model is defined as such.

as a thread on Photoshoots Forum, seeing (female) model shoot exclusively is just so boring. might as well rename it as (female)Model/Studio shoot forum, den have another for all Others.

it'll be nice to have a Photoshoots forum that reaches & engages to both genders & a wider age group. photography is a diverse hobby, model shoots with sex/y themes is just 1 of the many many forms....

How come we see all this suggestively themed shoots featuring sexy female models but none for hot guys? ;p

Imagine got titles like:

Exotic blue-eyed European Hunks
Boy Toyz shoot
Beefcake Bonanza
Sweaty Hunks Swimwear Shoot

will anyone protest against such titles then?

Demand and supply, dude. Demand and supply. :bsmilie:
I'm sure such shoots will be organised if there's a market for it, and then we will see such titles.

EDIT: Back to topic, I do think the titles are bit overboard, but this being an open forum, and there's no guidelines governing such matters, it's really up to the intention of the organisers and the kind of participants they want to attract.

I do think that there's a market for it lar...cfm one. XD And no I'm not referring to g*y photogs LOL. Although that could be part of the equation also. Lol.

Are the models themselves embarrassed by such taglines?

I think they are the ones who can influence the organisers.

Of course if we have enough numbers and make enough noise here the moderators may think about banning such practice.

-----------

the titles and tag line... personally.. such marketing skills are so bad. that i really want to tell them to go some sex website and start selling pillss... which i think will work better... and please....

They are people's daughters.. how can these organisers degrade the image of these models. and worst of all, they are so young for heaven's sake !!!!

i mean... the image of clubsnap degrades because people question the morality of these organisers and the decency of the overall... people tend to generalise the entire population when one handful of members go awry..

and personally. i find the titles extremely distasteful and degrading to the girls.

censorship or not... what i CARE is for those kids who are surfing in this forum. we have minors here and we ought to be sensitive about what they are reading and seeing.

And put it this way. bobman have not been publicising his nude shoots for god knows why, i think its better this way.... since i think the way he portray his shoots looks like soft porn rather than being aesthetically artistic or aesthetically artistically pleasing...

the fine line of fine art and soft porn is really .....

to what i understand, theres no wrong in organising model shoots and workshops for the community. what i felt is that, there should be a better way in marketting and trying to promote the workshop or photoshoot.

Hi,

The point that I am trying to raise is not about the demand/supply or female or males models, it rather about the sexual innuendos that affect the image of the forum. Do the forum operators want this? or to keep focus on promoting photography excellence?

And if it does go uncheck to the extreme, would serious photographers want to be associated with forum and participate actively?

anyway, of cos, frankly, i did checked out who was the D-cup model being promoted this week... LOL!!!

ok so IF i am the forum operator... i would say.... we should focus more towards promoting photography as a form of Art or leisure while some others sees it as business or livelihood.

But forums need to be exciting in a good manner, having outings and gatherings organised by the forum owners or moderators.

And really from what i've seen. if cs were to carry on having model shoots as one of the more prominent activities here... the image of cs would degrade faster than most of us would have expected thou....

maybe te mods can put some activities up ... and promote cs and etc etc.. i dont know

er news flash most serious photographers dun even bother with this place to begin with. They've either never bothered coming here or just left.

Since there's a list only for one option, perhaps to balance things out, we should have a list for people who don't care what happens to the titles, just do as the organisers like and let them stand or fall by their decisions:

1. Vince123123
2.
3.

Who supports sex sells, or dont bother in Clubsnap:

1) vince123123
2) Eosdigital (lets be more cosmopolitan)

no offence, but i don't see how being cosmopolitan applies here...it's not an issue about race, religion, creed etc...it's simply about having some deceny and respect towards the models and not degrading them or the forum... being "cosmopolitan" doesn't mean you have to throw ethics to the wind

Hmm, what i think is how the models feel is between her and the photographers. It is the posted photos here in CS after the shoot that im fine with because of "cosmopolitan"?
Well, either way i go with the mod's end decision :D

Other than fine art.........cosmopolitan is a new word for GWC.
