Not sure how many uses the PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) communication functions. Seems like some serious security vulnerabilities going on.
 

Nothing really new or surprising. Many gadgets and even consumer security systems (CCTV) that are online (= connected to Internet) have serious design flaws and lack any security concept. For cameras it is best to disable all Wifi and BT, use tethered shooting or transfer images via card readers. It also helps to reduce battery consumption.
