Scan colour photo

I got one piece of colour photo that i want to scan into Jpeg.

Any one knows any shop that can do this?

Print, neg or slide? And which neighbourhood?

There are big chains like Fotohub, but even my neighbourhood shop at Commonwealth Crescent has a scanner. Most cheap modern scanners can handle prints well. Prints aren't demanding -- I use a HP multifunction printer to scan them. It's the large prints that are more troublesome.

If it's not mission-critical, even a simple snap using a digital camera may just do the job. Of course, the tricky part is to find good lighting and ensuring that the photo is completely flat.

Thanks to all. Managed to scan in office. Quality is surprisingly good

think the main points are that the sensor plane must be parallel to the picture, and lighting needs to be even

though if the image is smaller (A4 size, though A3 and larger scanners exist but much more expensive) definitely easier to just use scanner. multifunction devices are very affordable nowadays =)

yes, scanner is so affordable nowadays.
anyway, this set up was I use to do copywork during the film days with 35mm format, 120 format or 4x5 format camera.
