SB-80DX on D200

hi nikon bros, me quite new to the nikon family so asking some noob questions.
is sb-80dx compartible with D200? i just got myself a D200 lately n try fitting my Sb-80dx onto it. in the flash Auto mode, can use, but TTL mode, the shutter of D200 wun release n fire out leh.. why izzit like this ah?

izzit oni SB-800 can use for D200?

Shd be Non-TTL auto .. for 80DX ..

Most flash can be used on D200 ,, not oni SB800

check pg 178 in your d200 manual....

Newer camera after D100 use i-ttl,
sb80dx is d-ttl, which is for bodys like d100, s2pro and the d1 bodys.
Flash like sb600 and sb400 can do ittl very well on d200.
