Safe to go GuangZhou will DSLR alone?

Is it safe to travel around GuangZhou, China, with a digital SLR ~S$8K walking around alone? Is the mugging, robbery very common occurence?

It is better to go with your friends.

Went to Guangzhou last year and there are many of places to shoot. But at the tourist places, it is always crowded.

So I suggest get a few photography 'kakis' to go with you.

Your question is easily answered, irregardless the value of the cam. If you go to any seedy place in any country, the chances of getting robbed is higher. If you stick to urbanized shopping areas with crowd, chances are less.

It doesn't matter if you are in johore, china, europe. If you are holding expensive items, its common sense to safeguard and be streetwise, lest you become a victim. :bsmilie:
