We recently came across an article by the Napa Valley Register telling the interesting story of "Bliss", the rolling green hills and blue sky photograph that was the default wallpaper image for Microsoft Windows XP. A side-of-the-road impulse shot made by former National Geographic photographer Chuck O'Rear, the image has been viewed by billions and garnered O'Rear one of the largest fees ever paid for a single picture, he says.
