Adobe has begun shipping Photoshop Lightroom 3, the next major release of its pro photo management and RAW conversion application for Mac and Windows. Available now for US$299, or US$99 for licensed users of Lightroom 1.x or 2.x, the new version adds tethered capture, an improved import process, custom watermarks, flexible print package layouts, additional slide show features including video export, generally faster operation and the same RAW conversion engine and features as found in Photoshop CS5's Camera Raw 6.1.
