Phase One has released Media Pro, a new version of the Expression Media photo management application for Mac and Windows that the company acquired from Microsoft a year ago. Close integration with Phase One's Capture One tops the list of changes. Media Pro now incorporates the same RAW rendering engine, while settings adjustments made to a photo in Capture One are automatically reflected in Media Pro. Other changes include XMP metadata functionality, the ability to create much larger catalogs, a reworked interface that better matches the look of Capture One and support for the files - both RAW and video - from more than 100 additional camera models.
