A July 8, 2010 Bloomberg story quotes Nikon President Makoto Kimura as saying a new SLR-style camera is in the works that will likely be mirrorless and include "an enhanced function for video recording." He suggested the camera could come available in Nikon's current fiscal year or the next, which means it could emerge anytime between now and the end of March 2012.
