Have you ever flipped through lifestyle magazines and wonder how those eye catching studio images was conceived and lighted? The studio photography course will introduce you to the wonderful world of creating images in a studio setting. It will provide participants a basic understanding and appreciation into the art of manipulating and controlling studio environment to create different moods and effects. Through both presentations and hands on practical sessions working with models, participants will gain insights into different lighting setups commonly employed (Low key, High key, Creative effects) and how it can be used to accentuate different moods or features of the model. We will finish up with a post-processing lesson where participants are shown how Photoshop techniques are utilize to create the wow in the final studio image.
This is an introductory course aim at participants who are keen to learn how to shoot in a studio environment with studio lighting. The prerequisite for this course is that the participants have access to a DSLR camera and are comfortable with fundamentals of exposure and manual controls and settings on their DSLR. The outline of the course is as follows:

= Using lighting to Accentuate/de-accentuate Features and Moods
= Lighting Techniques for Creative effects
SESSION 4 THE FINISHING TOUCH : PHOTOSHOP PRACTICAL(2 HOURS)
