Resizing on Picasa???

To users of Google's Picasa,

1)Does the Picasa have a resize tool that maintains the aspect ratio while downsizing for uploading to net?

2) After i edit my photos on Picasa, and Save a copy, that copy on my hard disk is of the same resolution but of a much Smaller File Size. (For instance my 2.0mb photo becomes a 900kb copy after i edit it and save a copy) Why??

1) it will mantain it aspect ratio even after u resize it
2) ok just tried it out the file size remained the same for mine...did u save it in lesser quality setting?

export pictures to folder, then choose your size.

btw i do ALL my photo editting using picasa 2.
