And now about to rain, cannot go test...I will try put up some real world impressions of Sigma 17-50 vs EF-S18-55 with Post Processing once I'm done testing.


Edit: Saw big sun now, push my luck alittle and go out shoot...

Well, just gotta convince myself.....btw, did a very simple test against this 2 lens. Yet to be conclusive, but my preliminary results shows that the kit lens 18-55 is better than the Sigma in terms of CA... Sigma showed quite a bad purple fringe while 18-55 showed none (I went in to 100% crops just for the sake of doing so). I was like wtf...but well, overall it's not that obvious on the LCD screen. Yet to extract out to look at other stuffs like sharpness etc.

Testing conditions: on Tripod, 2 sec shooting delay, f/8, 35mm, exposure time: auto, OS/IS off, Manual Focus with Live View 10x...
