5. Square 1 cent copper coins used in S'pore & Malaya during British rule. Date of these coins are from 1920-60

Some harsh shadows on your coins.

Go hunt for macro photography book at the library. I read up on one that teaches you macro photography for coinage and postages, how to setup your lighting and postioning of your cam.

I bought 3 desk lamps from IKEA, used a t-adaptor on my tripod to mount my cam to face 90 degrees downwards a took some nice shots for a friend. Give it a try.
