1. shipwrecked chinese coins. this 2 copper coins were obtained from a shipwreck in indonesian waters. The coin date to 1403-1425 AD, Ming dynasty

I lost my appetite after seeing your pic #3 and #4. I dun see any macro or close-up element in the photos though. Yucks!
 

maybe if you put in abstracts would be more appropriate.

Some harsh shadows on your coins.

Go hunt for macro photography book at the library. I read up on one that teaches you macro photography for coinage and postages, how to setup your lighting and postioning of your cam.

I bought 3 desk lamps from IKEA, used a t-adaptor on my tripod to mount my cam to face 90 degrees downwards a took some nice shots for a friend. Give it a try.
 

thanks for sharing the pics, didnt knew that coins in china were once shaped like spades. everyday we learn something new...
