Problem with my Canon Len (EFS 18-55) - cannot auto focus

Dear friends,
my canon lens can only rotate in 1 direction and thus, cannot perform the auto focus function. :sweat:
Don't know why!! Maybe the motor is damaged!! :angry:

1) Is it worth to get it repair by some second hand shop since the warranty is over?
2) OR, is it worth to sell it off and buy a 2nd hand EFS 18-55mm to replace?

Entirely up to you. Check Buy & Sell: there are people buying defect lenses to get spare parts. Also, plenty of people selling away their kit lenses, some still with plenty of warranty left over. Alternatively you could also have a look at faster lenses, e.g. Tamron 17-50 and others. Your money, your choice.
But at first you could go to CSC and let them have a look.
