Yeah .... am using P mode with ISO set to 80 .... am a beginner too ;)

Mr. Whitelion has got the shutter bug

I'm interested in getting the S3 from MS Color soon. Who would you guys recommend to speak to to get the best quotation? I'm afraid they will quote sky-price for newbies...

I just join S3 club 2 days ago. hehe ;)
This is my first dc. After doing lots of research of all models, finally decide this is the one. Will start taking lots of photo to fill up my harddisk ...

Going to bring it for my HK trip end of the month, its a shopping trip.

I wonder should I bring tripod ? Currently I have the mini-tripod that comes with the canon case bought from AP, but it might not suitable to use as it really "mini". I wonder will the IS enough for shooting, or I should bring a normal tripod... but I hate the weight and extra space to be occupied by tripod ...

BTW, I have "shaky" hand, thats why I chose S3 "IS". :bsmilie:

Actually, you can hand hold full zoom shots in the day. My hands are quite shakey, so IS does make a difference to me. :)

Crimson Sunbird at the Singapore Zoo.

This was at full tele, f4, 1/125 hand held.

You will need the tripod when the light is not that good though. If you are travelling, have you consider getting a monopod.

Wow nice shot. Really sharp. You do know your birds bro. An avid bird watcher I presume.

Nah, I am just a newbie at this. This was my first outing with my S2. I was told by a friend to hang around this patch of Heliconias if I wanted to catch some Crimson Sunbirds. Waited there for about 20 min before they showed up, managed to snap a few before this bunch of people came by and scared all of them away.

Yeah some people just dun have manners.

Anyway, when are you planning to get the converters. Looks like I will go for 1 pc 52mm and 1 pc 58mm so that I dun have to twist the lens off n then back on. But then again... still thinking.... I will get it when you do so that we can decide on the Lensmate together. Let's see if anybody else is keen on the lensmate too.

Do not know if I will get the WC, still trying to decide. Hopefully others want to get the lensmate adapters, than all of us can save $$.

The Canon one? I am looking at the Raynox, so that I can add filters to it. Canon does not come with front filter threads. Happy shooting with your new toy!
