Lalaland~~~
hi..

i m doin a portrait shot first time and have 50mm f1.8 and 70-200 f2.8 for Nikon D70.

which lens is more suitable as i like to tag along with only 1 lens?

thnks for the advice :)

It depends what kind of perspective u want to get out of your portraits.

For your information, a long tele lens will compress space which will virtually brings the background to your subject.

A long tele lens will give a nicer bokeh also.

Hence to say, the choice is pretty much yours. What kind of photos u want to get will determine what lens is more suitable for you.

Hello Espn like to understand your choice abit other than the one stop difference and need to stand abit further away of course if you have alot pple
taking the shots standing closer will have th every advantage so pple with 70-200 will be shooting your ass. Ha ha ha.

my 2 cents opinion (may be wrong since i m new ) ... maybe for group outing can use a 70-200 since everyone will be crowded arnd the subject or model ...

might as well stand away further (frm the crowd)
