Polaroid & Fuji-instant experts, anyone?

Just got my polaroid spectra1200si, been playing with it for a while, but not really all that keen about the quality of spectra or 1200 film... anyone been trying any other instant cameras, for eg. the fuji-instax series? Also, been wondering which cameras the fuji FP-1000 series instant films (found in ruby, CP etc.) can be used with? I'm really keen on finding a black&white instant film, and polaroid doesn't carry any in the spectra range...

it's the film, try fuji's ones, they are much much better.

ok, so is there a fuji film compatible for my spectra-model polaroid? or do i have to get one of the fuji cameras instead? I mean, the fuji instax cameras look rather dinky, and i have no idea which camera system uses those impressive-looking fuji FP-1000 films (polaroid backs?? passport-photo cameras?)... sorry about being so ignorant, but there's not much literature on instant cameras online...
