besides filtering out reflections what else can it do??

do they have different qualities?? like maybe some can reflect more light etc?? how does lens from each manufacturer differ??

any price range u can tell me?

any 2nd hand for sale?

The price range, of course, depends on the brand, type, filter size, and the number of coatings on the filter.

Try getting e-quotes from CP or MScolor and do a comparison.

It can also duplicate as a Neutral Density Filter, by rotating the filter, you are also reducing the amount of light entering the lens. One use of the ND is when you are force to use a fast film (ISO 800) outdoor during the day. A polariser can effectively reduce the light by two stops, which will lower the ISO 800 film into an equivalent ISO 200 speed. :bsmilie:
