Which part of ECP? This is definitely a rare sighting. i have not encountered one in about 15 years. Used to see many when I was much younger and just pulled hem out of the water to have crab meat meal . . .\

I thought these are quite a common sighting along the beach. Anyway, these are poisonous... Be careful.

Sorry but you got your facts wrong.
The horseshoe crab is NOT POISONOUS and HARMLESS.
The long tail is mainly used as a burrowing tool.
