Will lenses meant for SLR cameras work on DSLR on manual mode? I have some lenses (Tamron..Canon mount) that was used with a Canon F1....wondering if it will work on the 20D or 30D.
If this is a "lame" question, please excuse my ignorance.
Regards

You will probably need a FD->EF adapter. I think one should be available. I'm not that familiar with Canon system. For Nikon, it's the same mount, so most of (the newer) the manual lenses can work.

Lenses ment for EF mount canon film cameras will work on all canon DSLRs too. however, the F1 has a FD mount, so they will not work without an adapter, which is almost impossible to find anyway.

Thanks for all the advice. Appreciated.
