During the IR outing, dibyogahari poisoned us (me) by showing us (me) pictures after pictures of his friend Fitra's IR photos.
Some more our Indonesian friend Rudy Tuahunse's IR shots that comes through our FB daily were full of colours.
Our Indonesian counterparts really have a knack for colouring their IRs.
My take is - there is no right nor wrong.
It is really a personal preference how one PP his IR photos.
If I were to be asked: What has IR got to do with your photos?
My answer will be: Nothing much, except simply to give my foliage a little bit of white.
Humbly...

Here I adjusted Hue and Saturation, one layer one colour, to give the metallic-looking facade more hues.
Then increased the Brightness and Contrast at the mid-line spine to give it a bright, reflective glow.
#2
This one I merged one copy of swapped and another copy of un-swapped version of the same photo.
Then laying a mask on the top most picture, I brushed away diagonally to create a palette of blue (swapped) and chrome brown (un-swapped).
