During de old daez of exploring the unopened road leading to C airport ... I once cycled back once on the inside ... on just cleared ground - in pitch darkness ... I stopped out of instinct, shone my torch and discovered I was less than 2m away from the slope that is now the huge canal.

BTW  SAMMY for last night!

Sounds like the early days of my riding around that area. It was great back then...almost in the dark and just speeding along the rough trail before they did the coastal road. It was great training to get a feel of a road wihtout much light and you just try to be as nimble as you can or fall and get up to try again heh. Those were the days. Oh...for about 8 yrs there was that extra thrill.... packs and packs of wild dogs chasing you down each time you past patches of land that they call their territory. Almost got bitten and pushed off my bike once by one that came up to me from the back almost like a ninja till I heard the growl just before he almost caught my thigh with his jaw.

Not to worry...there is no more dog problem there anymore heheh.. happy trails.
