Photo web page design

Hi folks
Looking to set up a web site for my personal photos for sharing with others (no selling). I came across various internet companies that sell pre-made templates complete with nice looking flash media for about 100-200SGD. Wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of some good reading or who has recently been through the exercise of setting a site up themselves. Are these templates easy to alter and install?

Ideally looking for an off-the-shelf template that I can tweak - mainly for photos. Not a big fan of the clubsnap template for the gallery unfortunately (sorry guys!).

Anyone out there able to advise? Any software I'd need to have to get a professional looking site up and running from a template (only have frontpage currently)?

Try http://www.clikpic.com. It is fairly user-friendly and simple to upload to.

Otherwise there are some cool templates at http://www.templatemonster.com but I'm not sure how easy they are to edit and customise. You would need Flash software and some knowledge to update the site.

Thanks for that eastwest - appreciated. I really like the kind of flash sites like those on templatemonster but as you say, I'd need to get some flash software I guess.

Anyone out there taken a template flash site and modified? How difficult was it for someone who is computer literate but no experience of flash software?

these templates are easy to install but if you have no experience in flash, it'd be quite hard to customise.
