Anyone can tell me what is the minimum equipment needed to set up a small studio for product shoot? thank you :)

How big is your product?
With a little geniuity and some table lamps and cloths you don't have to spend a single cent.

Of course, you can always go buy some studio lights and a Pro-Line tent. A few hundred dollars for everything, maybe?

You intent to set one up at home? Why not consider renting a studio with all the lightings u need. Probably more cost effective this way.

hmm im shooting a range of guitars.. if im going to buy the equipment what should i buy? are softbox and umbrella and maybe 2 lights and the backdrop will be sufficient enough to achieve a proffessional looking photo?
Im not going to rent a studio coz might be of use again in the future..

to shoot something like guitars...u need at least 3 light heads dat comes with 2 softbox's and u need to buy a roll of tracing paper...the light heads would probably come with their respective standard head reflectors...depending on where u are...as for background...are u edging out the guitars or issit taken in one shot?if it is one shot you could go order a 8 x 20 ft patchy background cloth..and if you are edging out a grey or white background would do just nice...

yeah.. thx very much :)
