Anyone knows some good scenic place in Phoenix, Arizona for photography? Some place within 100 miles from Phoenix because my trip is only 5 days with only 1 full day for R&R. Was thinking of returning to Grand Canyon but a bit far. :cry:

hike up the camel back mountain
approx 1.5 hrs up
for your 1day RnR, DEFINITELY go to sedona.
drive out
i can promise you 101% you will not regret the views there

i am still processing my chrome film taken at sedona
its fantastic

when you climb up camel back mountain, make sure you get plenty of water to drink
its dry and you dehydrate faster than you think
views from the top are spectacular


you cannot climb south mountain. its too high
drive up. views of the whole downtown are great!

if you have more time, you can drive out from apache junction all the way to totilla flat
nice great scenic views

Seriously if you do not have time to go to the grandcanyon (and its winter now. cold and might be all snow covered), definitely go to Sedona

that is not hte only rock
there are many rock formations
the colour of the soil is really bright orange.
there are alot of things to see.
the church built into the rock formation
etc
drive along the scenic route.
you will go all the way up 7000ft above sea level where you get a view of the gorge
wonderful
worth your time and trip there
