When petrol price keep rising: (immediate actions taken!!)

1) Electricity bill goes up (21%)
2) Food court also charge more (due to transport)
3) Taxi fare % bus fare also goes up (adding sub-charge from cab uncle)

Now petrol price goes down: (What will they do?)

What attract my attention is the taxi company. (If I not wrong...getting old liao.)They said when diesel price drop back to years ago pricing ($1.5) they will revise or take away the sub-charge.

Comfort reviews diesel surcharge

TAXI passengers may be able to get some relief soon. When pump prices fell for
the 10th consecutive time yesterday, ComfortDelGro, which operates 15,000 of
the 24,000 taxis in Singapore, said it will review the 30-cent diesel surcharge
with its drivers.

The surcharge was imposed in July after the price of diesel hit a high of
$1.83 per litre. ComfortDelGro
had previously said the surcharge would be
removed only when the market pump price fell to $1.19 — the level it was at
last December.

Said ComfortDelGro spokeswoman, Ms Tammy Tan: “At the current level of $1.44
nett per litre of diesel, market pump prices are still retailing at a premium to the
December 2007 level of $1.19 per litre.

“Though high, the present level does represent a drop from $1.83 per litre —
which was the level in July 2008, when we announced the introduction of the
surcharge. In light of the decline in prices, we are reviewing the surcharge with
our Taxi Associations, since the surcharge goes entirely to our drivers.”

Sources say the taxi associations will meet the company today for more
detailed discussions.
When contacted, Comfort Taxi Operators’ Association
president, Mr Nah Tua Bah, said it would balance operators’ costs with customers’
concerns in light of the economic downturn.

Yesterday, pump prices fell by 5 cents for the second time in a week as global
crude oil prices continued to drop.

Premium 95 grade now stands at $1.796 a litre before discounts, while diesel
is priced at $1.553.

Taxi associations looking at ComfortDelGro for approval to reduce fares? :dunno:

Interesting ... Opec had juz cut 1.5 million barrels output immediately after prices had fell more than 40% and at this point the oil prices dropped further instead ... kekeke. I guess what is really holding well is our petrol pump prices ... hmmm ... wonder why ... ?
