It was a pretty low turnout.
Good to finally meet Ken, Gnarlsek in person and also meet up with old friends.
Too bad everyone had to rush off after sunrise and there was no time to chit-chat a bit.

Rocky over still waters

This is rare opportunity to take some unique perspectives of Lower Seletar.
The water level is really low, because of the 'drought' we have had for about over a month.
So low that its exposed some parts of the reservoir that is usually submerged.
Sadly, its a state of affairs I think most Singaporeans don't know or can't be bothered about.
As long as tap has water folks are pretty apathetic to it....

IMO, perhaps this reflects the current state of Pentaxian participation too on the forums and the outing. :(

Pls let this not be a drought anymore and post more of your photos here. :)

Thanks to JK for organising this sunrise outing and nice chatting with him though its a short one.
Didn't process any shots as there was no sun until around 7:30am which I've already left.:(

This White Crested Laughingthrush was shot at the 2nd location - BBNP

No luck on the 2nd shooting place, didn't get what I wanted due to wrong info from someone. :(
But glad I got a shot of this pair on the tree (they usually hopping around on the ground). :D

Hello, Ken, hope the next round of session we'll get to chat a little bit!

Nice meeting u too Bernard :)
We get many chances to meet ... I keep on shooting your block most of the time!

Lower Seletar is really a nice photographic place for taking sunrise shots. It is close to my workplace but never went there before. It was a short outing for me as I had to leave due to last minute family matters.
A pity was not able to chat with you guys like JK as I stayed only for an hour but managed to take a few shots.
Sunrise is really for those patient people who will wait for that picturesque moment with slow shutter speed. First time taking sunrise shots so pardon my skills ah.

K-r and Nikon 28-70 F3.5-4.5.

K-r and Quantaray 28-90mm f3.5-5.6 (Rebranded Sigma).
I should have used my tripod..

Went back to my usual: Close ups.
