What are the differences between a K200D and a K-M? Which is better?:dunno:

By the way, rumours have said that K-M is not coming to singapore. Is that true?

Sadly, yes. The K-m was meant to be the new entry level camera with the K200D elevated to "mid-range". It sports lesser features but benefit from a faster AF due to technical improvements. The K-m is meant for newbies and feature a menu system with help online. i.e. press the help button to learn how to use the feature you selected.

But with the more serious photographers going straight to K20D, the remaining "newbie" buyers may not notice the difference between the K200D and K-m apart from the lower price of the latter. My guess once the stocks are cleared, the K200D will be discontinued to allow Pentax to optimise their product range to 2 models to make it easier and cheaper to support. They also need a competitor against the Nikon D60 and Canon 1000D and the price point for the K-m is more suited for that role.
