Gawd... looking at the pictures and specs buay tahan... temptation overload... I WANT one NOW...aargh :hearts:

Other than ff, this camera has all the features I wish for...if high iso is also improved from the k20d, it will be perfect.

Any high iso sample photos on the net?

somebody get in contact with him right away!

Came on here after I was at his blog. If I hear back from him, will keep you guys posted. That is, if one of you guys haven't written to him earlier already.

Specs have no mention of AF adjustment.
Was it taken out?

Oppss.. Let me answer my own question :embrass:

Saw it at dpreview under 'Custom Function menu#6':
http://www.dpreview.com/previews/pentaxk7/page11.asp

It's a good feature

Just hope that AF-S (at dark) and AF-C (especially) have much improved or comparable to C & N. Otherwise 5.2fps also no use.

for the amount of features, that is cheap!!!!!!!

Yes, it's pretty cheap, considering I paid SG$1.82K for my K20D back in April last year. My wallet cringes when I think about it.:sweat:

For your photography, I suspect the sensor shift horizon leveling and framing adjustment will be very useful, not to mention, the HDR.;p

is the built in HDR similar to those computer-merged HDR? if yes, that means it won't work for moving subjects since the camera need to take 3 pictures of the same scene?

also, is K7 the top of the line DSLR of pentax?

I quote from the Adorama K-7 HDR article
"Here's what happens once you press the shutter: The mirror locks up, and the camera fires the shot based upon the current settings–just as it would fire off a single shot based on the current settings–but then it fires off a -3 EV and +3 EV shot on either side, for an effective estimated 17 EV merged captured range at ISO 100"

So yes, it's still true HDR in the sense more than 1 photo is captured. But the mirror does not flip up and down for each shot, it takes it as a burst.

Oh man, this HDR stunt is really enticing! Makes recovering shadows much easier for 1st time HDR users.

I guess it is, for now. Seems to be better(if not same) than K20D in all aspects.

About 2 months to go before it's on sale.. time enough for full reviews and images to be released by the review sites.

It looks like a winner for sure -- the specs, price, and sheer sexiness.

Somehow, I can see many of us upgrading to it by year-end, despite everything ("no money, current camera is good enough, don't need it" etc) :bsmilie:

Wonder who'll be the early adopters?

Damn it this is too much gear to purchase in too short a period of time!

Unfortunately, the Voigtlander 50mm f1.1 takes priority first

Very user-friendly with useful features that lessen post processing time. Might just get it early next year once the price stabilizes.
