can anyone enlighten me on how to shoot in panning? i need to know what is the proper speed, focus mode n metering mode used, etc... :dunno:

btw, i use D70

Depends on what u trying to pan...
car/plane/people/snail
cars usually i use 1/60
people usually i use 1/25
Prefocus on a point you think that's the point you'll press the trigger,
Set your cam to Shutter Priority Mode (S) if I'm not wrong, set to the wanted speed, then just pan.
Metering use anything.

I think what you should do is figure out what is the result you want in tou pic. 1/60 for car are quit normal, if you want to freeze all motion we can go as fast as 1/1000. ;) there is no right or wrong shutter speed as long as you like your image... :D
Just to make sure you get your subject correctly prefocus on a spot where you want you subject to be and set to manual, then follow thru your subject and press.... remember to follow thru all the way even after you press your shutter....

thanks for the advices
;)
