Recently just bought a new set of hardware to replace my aging P4 system. Here are some of the specs:

Processor: Core2Duo E6420
Board: Gigabyte G33M-GS2R
RAM: Kingston 1GB DDR2 (x4 pieces)
Graphics and sound (onboard)

My question is:
If I'll be running Photoshop CS3 on this new system, is there any advantage in running Windows Vista as the OS on this machine compared to Windows XP Professional?

Someone told me Windows XP (32-bit) will not detect 4GB RAM on my system :( That calls for this concern. Will Vista solve this problem?

nope.

still the same.

Vista 32 bit only recognize max 3.5GB. Vista 64 bit can recognize max 4GB.

BTW, this thread is in wrong forum I guess.
