Opinion sought for Manfrotto tripod and ballhead

I am thinking of getting these 2:

1. 190Cx_Carbon_Fibre_Q90_4-section_Tripod
2. 410_Junior_Geared_Head

The reviews I read are good and they match what I want. less than 55cm compact, Carbon, able to support my current eq (1.5kg) and I need a gear head. :x

but I have these questions:
1. Are they good combi? i.e. Head too big for tripod?
2. Consider I am still new, should I invest heavily on such gears?
3. Any recommended shops to get them other than Cathay?
