you should respect them ok....

i've seen a few of the female photographers in US who carry a 600mm on a monopod and run before on a futball field...

If you are referring to big guns, then I only saw 2. Most of them are using Canon.

Most of these lens are 300mm or 400mm f2.8L primes. The 300mm f2.8 costs 7k thereabouts, 400mm f2.8 twice that (~14k). These lenses (and also bodies) are most probably sponsored by their company or press agency that they are working for.
