From a humble race with only 1,000, Run 350 will see an impressive 10,000 participants gearing up for the race on 22 April this year.This overwhelming response came as great news to Young NTUC, the initiator for Run 350, as well as the youth movement that came up with the idea of bringing the 350 movement to Singapore. Said Run 350 Race Director Robin Goh: “From its beginning with 1,000 participants in 2010, Singapore’s first eco-run has now grown to 10,000 in strength, bringing individuals together to raise awareness about the global 350 movement.
“Young NTUC came up with the idea of bringing the 350 movement to Singapore and Run 350 is one of the initiatives aimed at reaching out to young working adults… I hope everyone will enjoy the run on race day, and at the same time also know that we are running together for a greener earth.”
This year’s Run 350 will gather participants at The Float@Marina Bay, and will see participants taking part in either the 21 kilometres or 10 kilometres race. To encourage family bonding and to make it an all inclusive event, there will also be a 350 metres Kid’s Dash category for children.
