"No thanks, I'm not hungry." [nudity!]

I needed to shoot some photos for a friend with the theme of eating disorders. The theme is a bit cliched (is that the right word?) to me, but it was a quick shoot without much trouble.

Grainy set. Bulimic ones were shot in the morning, nude ones shot night.

I thought it would be better if you can show the subject throwing up some solid matters instead of pure fluid (milk looking?). The posture looks un-natural, and since vomitting is an uncomfortable action I thought it will look more if the subject is holding her throat or the towel bowl. (It is also wweird to vomit on the floor instead of the sink/towel bowl).

Nevertheless, I quite like the concept since it is something different from all the pretty faces pictures here in the forum. This is what I would call "interesting themes/concepts". :thumbsup:

I agree I should've taken more care with staging it more realistically. I admit; it was difficult and I got lazy with clean up haha... next time, I won't slack off! Thanks for the c/c!

Couldn't find a model before the deadline so I was the model! :sweat: (I have an athletic build because I am a runner and triathlete.)

The water is more see-through, so I liked the milk better... I wasted almost 1/3 the carton-- felt kind of bad but nevermind, lah! 100Plus was because I was thirsty and I had just gone for a run haha, I thought the bubbles would add texture to the milk but when I desaturated it, it just ended up looking flat.

I like pic #4.It is extra raw due in part to the "grainliness" of the texture.
Btw any PP in #4 to 'improve' the grain?

Firstly, this is a great series of pictures. The bit that was nude was suggestive enough to not render it to be porn, and that is seemingly rare on clubsnap these days, save for 3 or 4 other photographers.

Personally, i think the vomit is a little too brightly coloured, and could be burned a little more. However, I wouldn't change it for anything, be it solid matter or otherwise, because that would ruin the suggestiveness and make the picture too "raw" and thus, ruining the concept and cohesiveness of the entire series.

It would be the sameif you were to expose the model's privates a little more - it would be too raw, so i suggest you leave it as it is. Great job!!!!
