Nikon or Canon Compact?

maybe i'm biased..but i never did consider sony digicams to produce good color. ;p

pana compacts uses leica lens. leica lens are good lenses. a piece of good leica lens is very expensive. do u tink pana will put good lens on a less than 500 cam? unless they are doing charity.

also when set to high iso, pana pic quality is way too noisy. maybe u can test it out..

If you read the brochure carefully for panasonic, it does not say made by leica but made to the standard of Leica Camera AG. Simply in english, this means that the lens is made under licence by someone to the standard matching Leica. There is no way panasonic can give you a original Leica Lens in below $500 camera unless they want to go bankrupt from selling camera. A very easy comparision is to compare the Leica D-Lux 2 vs the Panasonic LX 1. Both are essentialy the same camera but their price vary quite abit. One is around $500-$600 while the other is almost $1000.

Ic. Thanks for enlightening tho. Sony H series receive q gd reviews so far. No harm looking at it. Every brand has got its strong n weak models. Not every model is tt bad.
