Nikon D2H DSLR launched today

Nikon Singapore has officially launched their latest DSLR, D2H today.

There's a full colour page on the chinese papers but not on the Straits Times, I wondered why. Anyway, this's an interesting camera to watch out for although it's supposed to be a "specialised" camera.

So anyone on the waiting list of the major camera stores getting it today or before today?

And before anyone starts asking, no, I don't have a D2H.

I asked Cathay 2 weeks ago, they said it would be S$5,900.

ask again, the price has dropped somemore.

AJ23 spotted leaving John 3:16 with one very big box (22 November 2003 around 7pm). Confirmed sighting of D2H!

Today (22 Nov 03) I checked with Cathay boss (who knows me) on the price of the D2H .. He said around S$5,900. Checked with Samuel at John 3:16 he says around S$5,888. So its nowhere near S$5,200. Estimated price by the time stock is available is around $5,800 maybe later it would drop to $5,500.

Apparently there are more than 30 people on the waiting list at Cathay. Cathay has 3 pieces, all gone. John 3:16 had 2 pieces, last one went this pm. New stock in by early Dec 03.

However, both advised to wait till stock eases and bugs to be ironed out.
