do not buy the 1st batch lah.
expensive and got design bugs.
for D70(s), users no need to upgrade. won't be much better just changing the body rather spending the extra on lens.

but nikon small size mount is the limitation of full frame, spending on DX or none-DX or 3rd party Di lens will be another problem.

canon users no such worries.

huh?????

Not really sold out. How can a 16 Dec 2005 released camera sold off so fast.

Actually shops have be pre-selling the camera and taking deposite from buyers first.

Shops will actually contact those pre-ordered personel to collect from the shop after 19 Dec 2005.

RP in Taiwan NT$61900 . This is actually warranty by Nikon .

Those grey market also have warranty. But warranty by the shop.

I dont see what is the difference. Both have 1 year warranty.

Like you said, they have been taking a lot of preorders and that pretty much translates to sales already. So the initial batch belongs to those who preordered early, anything left, which I doubt, they would sell to those walk in customers.

Made in China = CHIKON
Made in SG = SIKON
Made in Thailand = THAKON
Made in Japan = JAKON
