nikon AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 G or Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 APO DG Macro

hi.. need help and advice here..
currently considering this 2 lens..

1. nikon AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 G
2. Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 APO DG Macro

but i've no idea which is better
gonna use it on my D80
so any advice??

i would go for nikon 70-300 since the VRII is vital on a zoom lens.

Since you're comparing between the Nikon 70-300G, I recommend you go for Sigma.

There is also the Nikon 70-300 F4-5.6D ED. This copy comes with ED glass and metal mount. You should get this instead and forget about sigma.

if VRII too ex then wait for sigma OS version...ard 600++ no APO n Macro.
